after cleaning out the hull, it was time to replace the stringers in the boat "the boards that are running from the front to the back". As you can see in the pictures below i have also added joists to support the plywood decking that will be the floor of the houseboat. The stringers were glued back into the boat hull using the existing stringer channels and PL construction adhesive. This stuff is BAD A$$ and if you ever intend to use it make sure you wear gloves because it will get on you and it doesnt come off unless you get it off ASAP with acetone. So the 2x4's were cut to run across the stringers to support the plywood deck. this is not the original construction of the boat. all that would normally be there is just the stringers. This is being built to support all of the added weight that will be in house boat ie... cabinets, bed, toilet, storage, sink, stove etc...
